Emerson IT Help Desk
While working for Emerson IT desk I took great joy to create a fun pixel-art image representing the IT help desk, and the graphic took flight amongst the staff. I cleaned up the design on request and it became widely used, including as the hero image on our Zendesk website and our Twitter, and it was printed onto foam board to show at orientation events at the college.
Emerson Poetry Project - Social Media Manager
Coming to Emerson College, I took great joy in joining Emerson Poetry Project, and work with a collection of amazing, talented people on my own passion. After my second year as an EPP regular, I was luckily enough to be hired as the Social Media Manager. I completely redesigned the EPP website, as well as running a 30/30 challenge on their twitter and Facebook pages.
As of 2015 I also help with the graphic design of our print media. This involves creating posters in Indesign and Photoshop that can be used as physical paper posters and online as social media content. I must work within EPP's existing brand and visual language to create recognizable but individual posters each week.
Emertainment Magazine Design Work
Working for Emertainment Magazine, Emerson College's only Entertainment Magazine, I took every opportunity I could to be involved in the graphic design process.
Creating a logo for a company flier (bottom right), my design became so popular it was opted to become used in a number of places, including on the magazine Facebook page, on our business cards, and on our up-coming T-shirts.
The full, cleaned up logo above is what the magazine employs currently (Feb, 2015)
I also do occasional small pieces for Emertainment as-needed, including the shareable image below to commemorate the websites 1 millionth view! I created this piece by designing the square logo, projecting it and other images onto the balloons in Maya, and then working on the rendered-out image in photoshop.
Faneuil Falcons Logo and Jersey Re-Design
Early 2013 I made the interesting choice of joining the Emerson College quidditch team known as the Faneuil Falcons. Working with my captains and teams, I built up some skills and muscles I never really expected to use in my life.... And, most importantly, I got a chance to re-design the public image of the team.
A relatively new team, the Falcons wanted to upgrade their logo to something that looked professional, and which they could also print on team jerseys. I volunteered for the opportunity and worked with the captain to create the logo above.
We used Custom Ink to create the jerseys.
On the first practice after delivery, I model my jersey on Boston Common. (right)
